H.G.Fisher Esq:

Dear Sir,

In reply to your favour of 3rd instant, I beg to state

that I have already engaged a special foreman for the fittings

works in connection with the Law Courts. "ith regard to your

other remarks I would state that I am expecting a shipment of

timber for skirtings to offices of the same building to-day and

hope to take this opportunity of requesting you to be kind

enough to entertain my application of the 6th instant asking

you to grant me the additional $5,000 referred to in your

letter of 18th April 1910. I suppose you are aware that the

great Chinese festival will take place on 11th instant and it

is of great importance that I should have sufficient funds to

pay my workmen before that day. I trust you will issue the

order for the money to-day if possible for which I beg to thank

you in advance.

Yours etc:

(sd.) Chan A Tong.
